At 4pm everyday, my American colleague, Ian, who I have never met in person asks me how the still life is. I am pleased to say that the responses have gradually become more positive.
He also asked what is on my to do list for when the great plaster is removed. A no brainer for me, the answer is to walk.
He suggested that I read a book by Henry David Thoreau; Walking. (I think I should have heard of him)
I looked up Thoreau and what can I say, its enjoyable. Here is a quote from him, which I am going to share with you today.
“Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends… Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts.” ~ Henry David Thoreau
