Today. 03 May

I am tired. It feels like I have been on the go forever and a day.

This does not stop me though formulating plans of what needs to be done and what I would like to do.

Sat on the 6am to London, as the train fills up, I take some comfort from realising that I am not alone with failing at multi tasking/delegating.

It’s not yet 8am and I am fascinated by the conversations I can hear on the train. Yes, I am eves dropping and no I did not ask them if they would mind if I discussed their domestic bliss with you all!

(Quite frankly, what else is there to do once you have drunk your coffee and eaten your banana?!)

Convo 1, through gritted teeth, “Give daddy the phone, I need to speak to him and no, I am not just going to tell you what daddy needs to get for dinner!”

An unnecessary battle. I Understand.

Convo 2, “Your top is in the laundry basket and you need to iron it yourself..”

Been here too, deep down I couldn’t care less…

My own version of this was an ineligible rushed list written on the back of some post that I found stuffed in a drawer. #fyi…mustreadthat

  • Take extra snacks today
  • Don’t forget about the spring concert
  • It’s bin day
  • Don’t forget to vote

On the plus side, it is warm, I am hopeful it may be sunny today and that is going to make me feel a bit less grey.

Final thought for now, if you are eligible to vote today, don’t forget! #haveavoice #beheard #makeadifference #everyvotecounts #takes2secs

Wish me luck!

Alice in Wonderland

On a wet Saturday afternoon, we were certainly not late for OUR most important date! dsc02115

We arrived to a special reception, where the little people were able to try their hand at some arts and crafts, ranging from making teacups through to decorating character masks.

Alice and the rest of the crew did not disappoint us, we were swept along on their whirlwind journey, meeting strange rabbits, encountering riddles, we came face to face with the Queen of Hearts and witnessed a chaotic tea party! (all before the interval!)

After the interval there was more fun and hilarity as well as lots of interactive activities.  It is a show that will entertain all ages and it was refreshing to witness a more modern take on this time old classic.

After the show ended, there was an opportunity to have pictures taken with the cast, some of them more mischievous than others!

What is not to love?

The show is on until December 30th at The Old Rep, Station Street, Birmingham.
